Trace Cyrus Head Tattoo Unveiled, Sister Miley Has 13 of Her Own (PHOTOS)
The Cyrus family is no stranger to tattoos. Miley herself has at least 13, and her brother, who recently just added a new head tattoo, is nearly covered in ink.
Trace Cyrus recently debuted his most recent tattoo, which involved a large Native American chief imprinted on the side of his head.
"Got my head tatted today! Excuse all the ink on my face. And yes this hurt!!!" Trace Cyrus wrote Wednesday on Twitter. "Thank you Chris Garcia for coming up from Vegas to tattoo my family and I. I cant wait till next week to tattoo the other side of my head!"
The musician and fashion designer's father, country star Billy Ray Cyrus, has a matching set of Native American chiefs on each of his arms as well.
"Chief Joseph gave a wonderful speech years and years ago, called 'From Where the Sun Now Stands, I Will Fight No More Forever' (and) I actually memorised that speech in the sixth grade," Billy Ray told Contact Music, explaining why he had decided on the tattoo.
Miley also appears to have a reason for all of her tattoos as well. The former Disney star got her first tattoo when she was only 17. It reads "Just Breathe" on the side of her chest and is a tribute to a friend who died of lung cancer, according to StealHerStyle.net
"It reminds me not to take things for granted. I mean breathing – that was something none of them could do, the most basic thing. And I put it near my heart, because that is where they will always be," she told Harper's Bazaar.
Cyrus also has the word "love" tattooed on her ear which, she says, is her safe guard against foul gossip.
"I have 'Love' right here to block out all the crap that everyone throws into your ears … I don't really care about it. [You're] only supposed to hear the things coming from the people that genuinely love you," she told Access Hollywood in 2010.
