'Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt' Season 3: Upcoming Installment to Bring New Guest Stars, Heartbreak
"Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" will have more new faces making guest appearances in the upcoming third season, including Laura Dern and Ray Liotta. Additionally, a few plot details have also been revealed.
Apart from Dern and Liotta, other names like Andrea Martin and Daveed Diggs are making appearances as well. "Saturday Night Live" alums Maya Rudolph and Rachel Dratch have also signed on for guest roles, reports Entertainment Weekly. Anna Camp, David Cross, Mike Carlsen, Josh Charles and Amy Sedaris are set to return to reprise their roles. Fans can also expect creator Tina Fey herself to make an appearance.
First look photos have been released ahead of the third season's premiere at the 16th annual Tribeca Film Festival on April 28. One photo sees Lillian looking more professional than usual as she talks to Kimmy (Ellie Kemper). Carol Kane, who plays Lillian, told TVLine that her character gets elected as an official in season 3.

The upcoming cycle will also see a couple of characters getting their hearts broken. Tituss Burgess, who plays Titus Andromedon, revealed to the same publication that he and Mikey will break up. This will lead to Titus reenacting Beyonce's "Lemonade" video, which was featured in the teaser clip.
"[Titus] gets off the boat... sooner than expected. Nothing can go right in Titus' world. And he doesn't want to see Mikey until he gets a job. So he finally gets up the nerve to surprise Mikey... and it doesn't go so well," Burgess teased, according to TVLine. "He sees something that he doesn't want to see."
And while Burgess did admit that channeling Beyonce may seem like a "silly" reaction to heartbreak, it is justified. "It's how he deals with the betrayal," he said.
Aside from Titus, Lillian also breaks up with Fred Armisen's Robert Durst. However, she does find love with someone new, although his identity remains to be revealed.
"Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" season 3 will be released on May 19 on Netflix.
