'Wife Swap' Star Arrested for Prostitution and Drugs

A former "Wife Swap" reality television star was arrested in New York on prostitution and drug charges.

Alicia Guastaferro, 20, was taken into police custody after police spotted the car she was driving in weaving erratically in and out of traffic. Police made the arrest after the vehicle pulled in the Pembroke rest stop, according to police officials.

Guastaferro was reportedly in the vehicle which belonged to James Doyle, a well-known and highly respected attorney from Rochester.

State troopers began to question Guastaferro, who admitted to having consumed alcohol before getting into the car and that she had been paid for sex by Doyle.

Guastaferro allegedly confessed to having sex with Doyle "twice a month for $500 to $700 per night," according to the police report. "He pays me in the morning," she allegedly told troopers.

Guastaferro was then arrested and was charged with criminal impersonation, criminal possession of a controlled substance and prostitution.

Doyle, 54, who refused a field sobriety test, was arrested and charged with DWI, Providing Alcohol to a Person Under 21 and Patronizing a Prostitute. He was later released.

"I've been accused of allegations that are lurid, salacious and demonstrably false," he told Rochester's YNN. "I was tired. I wanted to rest and that's exactly what I did. Within 10-15 minutes, there was banging on my window. I was taken out of my car," he added.

When asked about the allegations against him, Doyle said that they were "just essentially wrong, factually and morally wrong." He added that there was "absolutely nothing of a sexual nature with respect to our encounter, whatsoever, at all," he told WHEC.

Guastaferro is a former teenage beauty queen and came into relative fame after appearing in an episode of ABC's television series "Wife Swap" in 2008. She was 16 years old at the time.
