Windows 10 Bugs, Problems: Users Request Additional Features to Improve Software
More than a million people have joined the Windows Insider Program to try the Windows 10 Technical Preview, which was launched two weeks ago. During that period, Microsoft said that 68 percent of the technical preview users were launching more than seven apps per day, while around 25 percent of testers launched about 26 apps or more per day.
To gather user's response to the preview, Microsoft included a built-in feedback tool in the software. According to Extreme Tech, thousands of users reported that the Windows 10 Technical Preview contained a lot of bugs and that there was still room for improvement on a few things in the software.
A lot of users reportedly requested to make the Search and Task View buttons movable. The new buttons are in the bottom left corner of the taskbar, right next to the Windows flag. One major request was to "Add tabs for Explorer," while another was for Microsoft to "make a beautiful boot screen."
Windows 10 is the follow up to Windows 8, and the new software looks very different from its predecessors. For one, the Start Menu is back, and it features live tiles full of real time information.
Virtual desktops are also one of the better features of Windows 10. Users can create multiple desktops, with each running their own apps. The new software also promises to be more user friendly than the Windows 8. The Charms bar has been omitted, and much like in Windows 7, it's easy to shut down one's PC from the Start Menu.
As Windows 10 is still about a year away from its official release, PC users are warned not to download the Technical Preview to replace current software as it is still full of bugs and incomplete features.
