Principal Cancels School With Hilarious Musical Call to Give Parents a Laugh (VIDEO)
It's the voicemail that divides families: The message that school is cancelled for a snow day. Kids rejoice over their newfound day full of Xbox or Pokemon or raiding the fridge. Parents suffer securing last-minute childcare or forgoing a shower.
The administration at Stephens Elementary School in Boone County, Ky. at least puts some cheer into these dreaded messages. In this video, principal James Detwiler and theater teacher Chad Caddell sing out their announcement to the tune of "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen.
The performance has gone viral, netting nearly 1 million views on YouTube, and the school isn't letting internet fame pass them by. In the video description, they say:
By the way, if this video can gain us some exposure, AND you know of someone willing to help us out with some cash for technology, we DESPERATELY need it. Ellen? Rosie? Oprah? Jimmy Kimmel? We love our jobs - I hope you can tell!
