2016 Toyota Tacoma Boasts of Better Interior, Power, Fuel Efficiency

The 2016 Toyota Tacoma is even better than its predecessor with more power, improved interior, and better fuel efficiency.

The new midsize pickup runs on a V6 engine capable of putting out 278 horsepower, which is 42 horsepower more than last year's edition. In addition, the 2016 Toyota Tacoma's towing capacity is even better because it can now tow a maximum of 6,800 pounds of load, according to Trib Live.

The new V6 Atkinson cycle operation contributes to the pickup's fuel efficiency by improving gasoline mileage. A test drive using a 2016 Tacoma 4x4 Double Cab yielded a result of more than 440 miles using just one 21.1-gallon fuel tank, the report details.

When it comes to outer appearance, the 2016 Tacoma sports a taller hood, new wheel design and grill, more bulky fender flares, with its name stamped into the tailgate, the report adds.

Inside the vehicle, consumers can enjoy using the 6.1-inch touch screen dashboard display that comes with a backup camera. Every model also comes with Bluetooth support for phone and music streaming, USB 2.0 port, and Siri Eyes Free software. The seats, however, do not provide the needed support for a long haul, Truck Trend Network notes.

As for the pricing details of the 2016 Toyota Tacoma, the base model carries a starting suggested retail price of $24,200 including destination charge. This package includes rear-wheel drive, SR Access Cab with rear seats standard, four-cylinder engine, automatic transmission, and a 6-foot-long pickup bed.

The four-wheel drive 2016 Tacoma comes with a starting price of $25,725. This model includes an SR Access Cab with rear seats, four-cylinder engine, automatic transmission, and a 6-foot-long pickup bed. The 2016 Double Cab, on the other hand, costs $25,030 and comes with an SR model with rear-wheel drive, four-cylinder engine, automatic transmission, and a 5-foot-long pickup bed.

All in all, the 2016 Toyota Tacoma is a suitable vehicle for off-road adventures. Despite the lack of support offered by its seats, the midsize pickup's innovative terrain management and crawl control makes the vehicle very useful and very fun to drive.
