'Max Lucado’s Because of Bethlehem'
New York Times Bestselling Author Max Lucado will host a Christmas event that will be in theaters Dec 5, 6 and 7.
Presented by Fathom Events and Educational Media Foundation, “Max Lucado’s Because of Bethlehem” is a live Christmas concert event featuring performances by CeCe Winans, Matthew West, Anne Wilson, Matt Maher and Evan Craft.
Inspired by his bestselling book,Because of Bethlehem: Love is Born, Hope is Here, Lucado shares his holiday memories along with the story of Christ's birth. The telling will be accompanied by a variety of star-studded performances.
“Lucado shows how the Bethlehem story, with all its fumbles, awkwardness and longing, illustrates how God is with us in ways we could never imagine,” the movie’s description reads.
“Christmas tells us that God knows what it's like to be a human,” Lucado explains.
Filmed in Nashville, Tennessee, in front of a live audience, the movie aims to remind viewers that the spirit of Christmas “is much more than a pretty tree with presents piled underneath.”
“I love Christmas,” Lucado added. “It invites us to believe the wildest of promises: God became one of us so we could become one with Him. Clear the table; clear the calendar. Call the kids and neighbors. Christmas is here. Christ is here.”
“Because of Bethlehem, we are given the honor to interact with God, hear His thoughts and witness the magnificence of His Glory in both the good and bad parts of life. Jesus brought the Message to us in order that we would know truth and be truth in a dark world,” he maintained.
