8th Grader Spanked Teacher, Set Off Sexual Assault Investigation: Texas Woman, 43, Faces Charges (VIDEO)
An 8th grader spanking his teacher led to an investigation into the possibly inappropriate relationship between the two, and the 43-year-old math teacher is now accused of a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old student. Corrie Anne Long of Hopper Middle School in Cypress Fairbanks, Texas, is now on administrative leave during the investigation.
The 8th grader who spanked his teacher was seen during the act by another student, according to KHOU News. The fellow student thought it was "odd behavior" for a student to be spanking his married teacher, flirtatiously touching her hair and have her sitting on his lap, according to court documents.
"It can be seen through just the two of them, their daily interaction, that they had something inappropriate, and we get an entire case," prosecutor Joshua Planco said in Harris County Court Monday.

Once the unnamed student told a staff member, an investigation was launched and serious accusations were uncovered.
Investigators questioned the boy, and the 8th grader said that Long would remove him from HQT class regularly and bring him to her empty classroom, where sexual relations would occur. Just before Thanksgiving in 2013, he said she performed oral sex on him. She also allegedly reminded the youth not to say anything to anyone or she would lose her job.
Once the investigation began, Long was placed on administrative leave from Hopper Middle School and is not allowed on the campus. She has been a special education teacher there with the district since 2002.
"The safety of our students is always our highest priority," the statement read. "The district took immediate action to remove the teacher once the allegations were made, and we will continue to cooperate fully with law enforcement on this matter."
Long, who knew the student since he was in sixth grade, has since been charged with sexual assault of a child under the age of 17 and is currently out on $60,000 bond, KHOU reported.
Long is next due in court in April.
