9th Annual Gospel Music Hall Of Fame Inductees Announced
Aretha Franklin, John P. Kee and Bishop Paul S. Morton among the honorees
The International Gospel Music Hall of Fame and Museum will be hosting its 9th annual induction and awards gala in Detroit on Saturday, October 22, with this years list of inductees including Rev. F.C. Barnes, Luther Barnes & The Sunset Jubilaries, Aretha Franklin, John P. Kee, Rev. Timothy Wright, Bishop Paul S. Morton, Rev. Dr. Lawrence C. Roberts and Dr. Myles Munroe.
Were so excited for this years group of inductees, said David Gough, Executive Board Chairman. With Aretha Franklin kicking off a nationwide tour that goes back to her gospel roots, and with the first ever father-and-son pair in F.C. and Luther Barnes being inducted, its just awesome to honor these artists who have a given a greater part of their life to the development of gospel music.
Founded in 1995 as a non-profit organization by DoRohn Entertainments president and gospel artist David Gough, the International Gospel Music Hall of Fame and Museum preserves and celebrates the work of the worlds legendary and influential gospel music artists and entertainers. Among the more than 95 previous individuals, groups, choirs, quartets, broadcast personalities and promoters who have been inducted into the IGMHF are Donnie McClurkin, CeCe Winans, Della Resse, The Dixie Hummingbirds, Dr. Bobby Jones and the Milton Brunsons Thompson Community Choir.
