The Acer Liquid X2 was first rumored to be available in the United States in May 2016, but now the company has confirmed that the triple-SIM smartphone will be released in Asia in January.
Acer first announced the Liquid X2 in April and now the tech firm has finally confirmed that its latest midrange Android smartphone will be launched in Asia next month. Aside from its tri-SIM card slots, its other impressive features include a 13-megapixel front and rear cameras, and a long-lasting 4,000 mAh battery, according to a SoyaCincau report cited by iDigital Times.
The Liquid X2 has a 5.5-inch HD display with a resolution of 720p. Although its screen quality is not high end, it is packed with a lot of battery power. Plus, it is made of extremely light plastic material, the report details.
Acer's newest flagship phone runs on a 64-bit octa-core chip with 3 GB or RAM and 32 GB of storage. It will also run the Android Lollipop 5.1 operating system.
Aside from that, the device has a quick flip cover that enables the user to view the messages and notifications without the need to open the phone. The cover is given to the buyer upon purchase of the new device. The Liquid X2 will be available in black and gold variants, the Latin Post reports.
For now, pricing details for the Acer Liquid X2 are still unavailable. Its release date in the United States is also still unknown, the report adds.
Aside from the Liquid X2, Acer also introduced several other new phone models including the Z530, Liquid Z330, and Liquid Z630. The firm has also unveiled its entry-level unit Z330 that sports a 4.5-inch screen and runs on a quad-core processor with 1 GB or RAM and at least 8 GB or storage. The low-key device, which comes with a 2,000 mAh removable battery, has 5-megapixel front and rear snappers.
