Actress' Hair Secret, Ketchup Used As Color Corrector
Sienna Miller revealed that she once used ketchup in her hair for a year to correct a hair dye mistake after using the flowering plant known as henna to achieve brown locks.
"I've had some real hair disasters. I once used henna to dye my hair brown for an audition, thinking I was being clever as it's all natural," Miller told Marie Claire magazine.
"Little did I know it was the worst thing I could have done as it coats the follicles so that nothing else can penetrate so I ended up having to put ketchup in it for about a year to get rid of the green tinge," she added.
The 30-year-old is renowned for her blonde locks and flew into a panic when she noticed that her hair looked slightly green, she began dousing her hair in ketchup for the next 12 months as opposed to simply going to a salon.
Miller, who is also a model, is expecting her first child with rumored fiancée, Tom Sturridge, 26, and friends and family of the pair recently spoke out about the baby news.
"We're not surprised by the news of the pregnancy. They just spent the holidays in Paris together after they announced the news in London," a source told Us Weekly magazine.
Friends are really happy with her relationship with Tom.
"He's younger, yes, but he's mature and he's a good guy," another source said.
This is said to be Miller's second engagement following her 2004 engagement to on-again, off-again boyfriend actor Jude Law.
Miller also spoke about another beauty mishap that she was faced with after attempting to apply her own false eyelashes.
"I once made the mistake of going for a whole row of false eyelashes, which was just wrong as it gave me a sad, puppy-eyed look," Miller said.
"But a couple of individual lashes in the middle of the lash line can look amazing and really open up your eyes," she added.
