Daisy finds out the repucussions of going rouge
In the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 3 finale, Daisy shocked everyone when she turned away from the team. Many have been wondering since then what will happen to her in the upcoming season now that she had turned rouge and lost the protection of the S.H.I.E.L.D.
Small Time Jump
Chloe Bennet who plays Daisy in the series revealed in an interview several details in the premiere episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 4. The episode will pick up 6 months from the events of last season's finale. Her character has isolated herself and she is still in pain because of Lincoln Campbell's sacrifice. She is hurting because it seems that everyone close to her dies.
Bennet further explained her decision to leave the team was her way of protecting the people she cares most about. However, things will not go according to her plan as she is much stronger and powerful than she was in Season 3. She will realize the repercussions of her actions when she is no longer monitored by S.H.I.E.L.D. It will be shown how people with powers such as her need the S.H.I.E.L.D. to survive.
Quake and Ghost Rider Encounters
Bennet teased that she will have more encounters with Gabriel Luna who plays Robbie Reyes/Ghost Rider in the upcoming season. Recently, some behind the scenes videos were posted in Instagram where Daisy/Quake appears to be taking on Ghost Rider in a dangerous chase scene. It is likely that the two will cross paths very early in the season and it won't be the last.
No Longer in the Shadows
In S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 4, because of the Sokovia Accords, the U.S. Government reinstated S.H.I.E.L.D. and it no longer operates in the shadows. It is now under a new director and it is tasked to monitor individuals with super powers specially the Inhumans.
The former director, Phil Coulson, is now tasked to track down Daisy who is now in rouge status and another agent, Mack McKenzie. Coulson will get distracted with his search for Daisy after meeting Robbie Reyes. He wants to find out if he is a friend or a foe. The new director needs to be convinced as well that Daisy is on the same side.
Melinda May will take charge of training the new strike force teams in S.H.I.E.L.D. Meanwhile, Jemma Simmons and Leo Fitz will take their relationship to the next level. Things will become complicated when Simmon's promotion as Special Adviser to the Director in Science and Technology will cause friction in her relationship with Fritz and their other friends as well.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will return on September 20 on ABC.
