'American Horror Story: Freak Show' Spoilers: Recap of Episode 11 'Magical Thinking'

After a three-week hiatus, "American Horror Story: Freak Show" is back with a brand new episode, and the show seems to be going for a no-holds-barred viewing experience as the show is nearing its season finale. In the episode titled "Magical Thinking," Neil Patrick Harris guest stars as troubled magician Chester, and another main character dies.

On the show's last episode, Jimmy entertains a group of ladies at their Tupperware party, and when he leaves, Dandy shows up and kills all of the women. The police, of course, suspect Jimmy.

"Magical Thinking" starts with Jimmy talking to his friend, Mr. Spencer. Jimmy says that he can't afford a lawyer because he has nothing, but Spencer disagrees and tells him that he has his hands and that they could bring in enough money to hire a lawyer. Spencer says that Jimmy doesn't need to lose both hands, just the left one. Spencer hands him a drink, and after a few minutes Jimmy is violently retching into a toilet. Spencer gets him into an ambulance. After a few hours, Jimmy wakes up, and he sees that both of his hands are gone.

At the freak show, a magician named Chester arrives. He has a metal plate in his head, he fought in the war, and he likes to incorporate a ventriloquist doll he named Marjorie in his act. At first, Elsa said that she has no use for a magician, but upon finding out that he's good with numbers, she decides to hire him to do the books and be the warm up act.

Back at the hospital, Dell assures his son that he knows someone who can give him hook hands. Dell goes back to the freak show and furiously tells everyone about what happened to Jimmy.

Meanwhile, Dot and Bette are very attracted to Chester, and they decide to sleep with him. However, Chester sees two different people when he looks at them—his wife, and her lover.

Then, Chester has a delusion of Marjorie appearing in human form and in a flashback, Chester watches Marjorie kill his wife and her lover.

Later, Marjorie and Desiree shows Elsa the corpse of Ma Petite, now encased in a glass container and submerged in some kind of liquid. They say that they found her in Dell's trailer. Dell admits that he killed Ma Petite, and Elsa shoots him dead.

"American Horror Story: Freak Show" airs on Wednesday nights at 10 p.m. on FX.
