'American Horror Story' Season 6 Spoilers: Showrunners Want Lady Gaga to Return; New Mexico to Provide Location?
It's already known that the anthology horror TV series "American Horror Story" will be returning for its sixth season. What fans don't know yet is what it will be all about. The last season, "American Horror Story: Hotel," revolved around the enigmatic Hotel Cortez in California and it debuted the first TV series appearance of pop singer Lady Gaga. But with the season now over, many are wondering if the "Bad Romance" singer will be back.
Lady Gaga played the role of Elizabeth/The Countess who is the owner of the hotel. Her performance last season really placed the show on a whole new level that it's highly possible that she will be back for more. According to a report by Bustle, series creator and producer Ryan Murphy has already publicly invited the Mother Monster to return to the show. He tweeted back in October, "Lady Gaga is so brilliant in AHS Season 5 that yesterday I officially asked her to join Season 6. Say yes @ladygaga!"
Fans are excited to see her take on a new character for season 6 but there is no confirmation yet on whether Lady Gaga will sign on the deal or not. As noted in E! Online, reporter Kristin Dos Santos asked the singer-actress if she will be doing another season of the show. She answered, "I think I'd like to do like one great acting project a year. I think one a year would be great."
Aside from the cast, fans are also curious about the plot for the show's next season. Several theories have already surfaced and one of them is an alien storyline. OLV reported that season 6 may revolve around an outer space or area 51 theme.
If that were the case, there are speculations saying that the setting could be in the American Southwest, specifically in New Mexico as the state has plans to improve their film tax incentives. But since there is no confirmation to any of that yet, it's best to take reports with a grain of salt.
