Amy Poehler Gives Up First-Class Seat to Struggling Mom, Hangs Out in Coach

Amy Poehler stunned fellow plane passengers when she gave up her seat for a struggling mother recently, according to reports. The "Parks and Recreation" star didn't mind hanging out in coach with regular folk, and she even cracked jokes and took pictures while sitting in her economy seat.

Amy Poehler was taking a flight from Los Angeles to New York City in first class when she spotted a woman clearly having a tough time with her child and bags. So she got her attention and asked her to swap seats.

"The woman was struggling with her baby, diaper bad and luggage, so Amy offered to swap seats and sit in coach instead!" a witness told Star magazine. "The woman kept refusing the offer, but Amy wouldn't budge."

"She literally had to push the mom into her first class seat. It was really sweet," the eyewitness recounted.

After Poehler's kind act from mother to mother— the "Baby Mama" actress and comedienne has two sons, 5-year-old Archie and 3-year-old Abel— she went back to the coach section, where many of the passengers recognized her. She didn't disappoint, engaging them all in conversation.

"Amy ended up sitting in an aisle seat in coach, where she took pictures with other passengers and joked around!" the source said. "Everyone loved her!"

Maybe Poehler could give Jessica Alba a run for her money for the kindest celebrity award! In 2012, Alba did a similar thing while traveling with her children. Alba and her husband Cash Warren sat in coach while their children and nanny stayed in first class.

"Everyone was doing a double take, seeing Jessica Alba sitting in coach, while her kids and nanny were in first class," a passenger told Radar Online.
