Analeigh Tipton and Stephen Merchant Will Guest Star on 'The Big Bang Theory' Season 9
New characters will guest star on the hit CBS comedy "The Big Bang Theory," and many fans speculate that they will play a big part on Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy's (Mayim Bialik) relationship.
Analeigh Tipton, an "America's Next Top Model" runner-up and lead of "Manhattan Love Story," is said to play a character in an upcoming episode of "The Big Bang Theory." Stephen Merchant from "Hello Ladies" will also join Tipton in an episode, and their characters are rumored to interact with Amy and Sheldon. No details are confirmed yet on what the two guest stars' characters will do on the show, but many fans are expect that the new characters will cause "more trouble," than help, to the ex-couple's now complicated relationship.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Tipton's character will be "new," since she already appeared on the show's second season, as herself. This was during the time that Howard (Simon Helberg) and Raj (Kunal Nayyar) attempted to get into the "America's Next Top Model" house.
Tipton is not credited yet as a guest star on the upcoming episode, which is entitled "The Helium Insufficiency," but Merchant's name is already listed. According to the synopsis of the new episode from IMDb, Amy is looking for a new boyfriend, and fans are thinking that it will be Merchant. Viewers are curious to see how Sheldon will react once he learns that Amy is planning to go back in the dating pool.
The summary of the next episode reads, "Sheldon and Leonard find out that other scientists are trying to steal their Superfluid Helium idea. The gang try and find a new boyfriend for Amy on a new mobile dating app."
