Apollo Nida Talks Peter Thomas 'Counting Him Out' Before Sentencing?

Apollo Nida was not happy that his good friend Peter Thomas counted him out ahead of his prison sentencing.

Thomas, model Cynthia Bailey's husband who is featured on "Real Housewives of Atlanta" to support his wife and her storyline on occasion, has built a friendship with Nida during his four seasons on the show. Nida, the husband of Phaedra Parks, an Atlanta attorney and cast member of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta," was sentenced to eight years in prison Tuesday.

However, Thomas had a few things to say about Nida during a recent red carpet appearance when he made light of how well is friend was doing ahead of his sentencing.

"As well as someone who is getting ready to go to jail," Thomas laughed, according to Radar Online reports.

Nida caught wind of the comments and did not seem pleased before his sentencing.

"At this time, I don't have time to waste to get into what he was saying," he told Radar Online. "I didn't really think he would count me out like that. I haven't even been sentenced yet."

While the move by Thomas was unexpected, Nida said he was not exactly surprised.

"I talk to him, I just didn't think he would have anything to say," Nida told Radar Online. "I guess it doesn't surprise me."

Still, he called for support.

"Support is definitely needed," he said to Radar Online. "I appreciate everyone [reaching out]."

Nida was sentenced after allegedly creating fake businesses, false bank accounts and using stolen checks while defrauding automotive lenders, according to Access Atlanta reports. In the past, Thomas has been publicly supportive of his friend.

"I don't know nothing about it," Thomas told Sister 2 Sister magazine when news broke of Nida's legal woes last January. "I have absolutely no comment on his arrest."

Thomas said he believed Nida was a good person telling the publication "he's a really nice guy."
