'Arrow' Season 3 Spoilers, News: Episode 10 Recap - 'Arrow' Executive Producer Talks Upcoming Episodes

Is the Arrow dead? Fans of the hit CW series tuned in on Wednesday, Jan. 21 to find out if the show's main character has survived being stabbed by Ra's al Ghul or whether he's gone for good.

On last Wednesday's episode of "Arrow," Malcolm heads to the Arrow cave and is met by an indignant Diggle, who points a gun at him. Calmly, Malcolm informs the team that Oliver is dead, and gives them a sword as proof, and he explains that it's Ra's al Ghul's custom to leave behind the instrument of death to honor the fallen.

The episode showed how each of the Arrow team members is struggling with this horrible news. Emily Bett Rickards' performance definitely carried the episode as her character, Felicity, tries to process the fact that Oliver is dead. David Ramsey, who plays Diggle, also had a touching scene wherein he says that he has always thought of himself as Oliver's bodyguard, yet he wasn't there to protect him when he needed protection the most.

However, towards the end of the hour, it is revealed that Maseo and Katana have retrieved Oliver's body. Before the episode ends, Oliver wakes up. The Arrow is alive.

In an interview with Hollywood Reporter, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said that episode 10 was the first in a trilogy of episodes of "what happens in Starling City when the world thinks that Oliver Queen is dead, and it allows every character on the show to rise or fall, depending on the circumstances they find themselves in."

Kreisberg said that the issue of Oliver's death won't be resolved right away.

"Even beyond this sort of trilogy, the repercussions of Oliver's actions are felt throughout the rest of the season," says Kreisberg. "It's that moment that really changes the world of Arrow forever. One of the things that the characters discover along the way is there is no going back."

"Arrow" airs on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on the CW.
