'Arrow' season 4: Full details on Diggle's new costume

From the occasional sneak-peek releases of "Arrow," it seems that the show has been doing a lot of aesthetic changes that fans will be seeing in its return for a fourth season. The story seems to be sticking more to its comic book origins, with Arrow's suit alterations and changing Starling City's name to Star City. Many fans have been quite positive to these changes; however, one change that gained a lot of criticisms is John Diggle's (David Ramsey) newly introduced suit.

The first official promotional image showed Diggle in a new outfit of a black leather jacket with a black helmet with a T in the middle. The jacket did not get so much attention, unlike the helmet that many felt is a copycat to that of Magneto's in the "X-Men." Compared to the suits of the others in the show, many also thought that Diggle's attire was far too flashy.

Now, DC Comics, released two full-body pictures of Diggle in his new action suit, which then received a mixed response. In the first photo, it turns out that without the helmet and the leather jacket, Diggle's costume is quite simple, with a leather vest, urban camouflage pants, and utility belt, it is an outfit that seems to draw inspiration from Diggle's military experience. The second one featured him in the same jacket but with a helmet, two pieces that fans think are the most undesirable parts of the whole outfit.

The new trailer also gave fans a glimpse of Diggle in action donning this black suit. Whether it was due to the poor editing or shots, followers of the show expressed that apparently the outfit worked much better in live action rather than in the pictures. This gave viewers a bit of hope that it may not be so bad after all. However, for now, it seems that they would rather not focus so much on the promotional pictures.

Season 4 of Arrow will premiere on Oct. 7, 8 p.m./7c on The CW.
