Artist Plays Music From Photo of Birds on a Wire and the Song is Amazing (VIDEO)
Brazilian multimedia artist Jarbas Agnelli was flipping through a newspaper when he saw this picture of birds sitting on electric wires.
He thought that the wires looked like a musical staff and the birds resembled notes, so he played out a melody based on the birds' positioning. What Agnelli heard was a beautiful and haunting tune, and he arranged a composition to go along with it.
To complete the effect, the São Paulo-based advertising film director created a video to explain the correlation between the birds and the piece of music they created by merely sitting.
Here's the original video, followed by a live performance of the composition from the TEDxSP talk in São Paulo in November 2009.
