'Assassin's Creed Victory' Xbox One, PS4, PC Release Date: Details Leaked Online, Game Set In Victorian London

A source has leaked details about Ubisoft's upcoming "Assassin's Creed: Victory," which will be set in Victorian London and will be released next year to the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

A person familiar with the game unveiled details to Kotaku, sharing that Ubisoft's upcoming "Assassin's Creed" game, which has been given the codename Victory, will be set in 19th century London. A "target gameplay footage" video lasting seven minutes has also been released to Kotaku, who posted screencaps of the game.

According to the footage, the game's protagonist is most likely the assassin who is shown out on the streets and alleys of London, gambling in pubs, racing with carriages and more. He is shown accepting an assignment given to him by a masked woman to kill Roderick Bulmer for human trafficking, before being attacked by assassins. The protagonist runs through the railway station, changes outfits, takes out the guards and avoids the assassins before using a grappling hook to swing over to Bulmer and stab him.

The source also said that "Assassin's Creed Victory " will be the first time Ubisoft developed a game at their Quebec studio instead of their usual collaboration with their team in Montreal. The Quebec studio has released their own DLC or downloadable content for "Assassin's Creed" games, such as "The Tyranny of King Washington" for "Assassin's Creed III" and "Freedom Cry" for "Assassin's Creed IV."

Ubisoft issued a statement to several websites in response to the leak, such as IGN. The company expressed their disappointment over the leak, claiming that their team and studio in Quebec has been hard at work on the game for years.

"While we certainly welcome anticipation for all of our upcoming titles, we're disappointed for our fans and our development team that this conceptual asset is not public," they wrote.

The company also explained that they are now currently at work on "Assassin's Creed: Unity" and will be releasing official news at a later date.
