Astronaut Uploads A Vine Showing Us What Fire Looks Like In Space – See What a Thunderstorm Looks Like From Space Too!

Credit :

Ever wondered what happens when a fire is created in space? Thankfully, this amazing Vine uploaded by astronaut Reid Wiseman, who is currently aboard the International Space Station, shows us what it really looks like.

The flame you see is sparked using a small drop of heptanes or ethanol, and it burns for about 20 seconds before disappearing into the space abyss. Watching this occur right in front of your face is simply mind-blowing.

One of the biggest threats that an astronaut has to face in space is an open flame. These Vines, which are part of a NASA experiment, are being used to help figure out ways to put out a fire in space.
