'Attack On Titan' Season 2 Release Date & Spoilers: New Titan To Appear?

The second season of "Attack on Titan" has been long-awaited by fans. But until now, there is still no word on when it might come. According to a report by Crossmap, the second run of the hit Japanese manga-series-turned-anime may already be premiering in February in Japan. But since director Tetsuro Araki has not made any official announcement yet, it's best to take the report with a pinch of salt.

Several fans are already excited to find out what happens next in the series. Fortunately, there are some spoilers flying around giving hints about the series. Also, the source mentioned that the "Attack on Titan" manga is now 4-story arcs ahead of the series. But it's important to take note that the anime TV series isn't really following the comics.

One of the spoilers that surfaced said that the series will be introducing a new Titan that will be appearing like an ape. However, this Titan is said to be different as it will have the capability to talk and think.

Christian Today also noted that an alleged leaked footage of a season 2 preview has emerged online. It showed a scene wherein a city lies inside the walls shielding the humans from the Titans. But a group of the Scout Legion discovered that one part of the wall holds a Titan inside it.

The video also showed a scene involving the main character, Eren Yeager, who is alive and recovering from his injuries. The video is not an official one though and it may have been made by a hardcore fan of the series. Moreover, spoilers also revealed that the real royal family are the Reiss family. There is also another spoiler which says Lenz is discovered to be a Historia Reiss, daughter of Rod Reiss, which makes her the real heir of the power of the Coordinate.

It is still unclear when the release date of "Attack on Titan" season 2 is so fans will have to stay tuned for more updates.
