'Avengers 2' Villain Ultron Revealed on Entertainment Magazine Cover
"The Avengers 2" villain and namesake Ultron appears alongside Iron Man and Captain America on the cover of this month's Entertainment weekly.
The film, titled "Age of Ultron," pits the heroes against this all powerful robot first made popular in the comic books. Ultron stands behind Iron Man and Cap in the pictures who appear to be sporting slightly updated costumes. He also has an army of robots behind him who resemble him closely.
Entertainment Weekly introduced the cover over Twitter earlier today.
"@Avengers: #AgeOfUltron: On the set of Marvel's biggest movie ever for our #SDCC preview: ow.ly/zeb7Y," wrote the publication.
Marvel will reveal more information about the upcoming film at its Comic-Con panel on Saturday, July 26. More photos from it that include a first look at Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver are available through the magazine's website.
"Avengers: Age of Ultron" opens in theaters on May 1, 2015. The film also stars Chris Evans as Captain America, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye and Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk.
The CGI version of the Hulk with be voiced by Lou Ferrigno, who also played the big green monster in the original television series and 1990s animated program.
The film follows the first installment released in 2012 that went on to become one of the top three money making movies of all time. Age of Ultron will feature a reassembling of the heroes that were separated at the end of the first movie. Many of their stories continued with Iron Man 3, Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Thor 2.
There have also been talks of studio crossovers for Avengers sequels that would allow characters such as Spider-Man and Wolverine to be a part of the film.
