Aventador J Creates Stir at Geneva Auto Show (PHOTO)

Car fanatics from around the world gathered at the Geneva Auto Show and were treated to the debut of the Aventador J, the latest thriller from Lamborghini.

The car, which is described by its maker as "an absolute one-off: a one-of-a-kind piece of art," floored the crowd and caused a major stir. From the website, Lamborghini says it "combines the overwhelming performance of the Lamborghini with the most intense experience of power and dynamics imaginable in an automobile."

Designed with car enthusiasts in mind, the Aventador J "is a radically open automobile-exterior and interior meld into each other. The designers and engineers in Sant'Agata Bolonese have not only dispensed entirely with the roof, but also with the front windshield," says Lamborghini.

The car is able to reach speeds over 300 kilometers per hour, making it one of the fastest in the world.

Fans have taken to Twitter to express their approval and enthusiasm of the new design. "You've got to love Lamborghini. Aventador J is off the scale. Pure emotion-you just want to climb in & rag it," wrote Harry Metcalfe.

Unfortunately there will be only one Aventador J for the whole world to fixate on. There will be "no prototypes and no others for the Lamborghini Museum," says the company. Ross Donaldson noted that the one model "is said to be sold already," which will dash the hopes of many.

"A number of high-profile clients were interested in this car, and in the end we picked one of our most loyal customers who bought it for 2.1 million pounds ($3.32 million U.S.). After Geneva and some other promotional activity, he will have it delivered to him," Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann revealed.

Though the lucky man will be able to revel in his purchase, he should know that there are plenty of others who will be happy to take it off his hands. As Fuad Hasan Emon noted, the Aventador J is the world's "most elusive car."
