'Bates Motel' Season 4 News: Will Norman Kill Norma?
Fans are anticipating the fate of Norma in the current season of "Bates Motel."
Since the hit series is meant to be a backstory for the classic film, "Pyscho," there have been questions on how the series will portray the tragic happenings of the film.
Those who have watched the film are aware that Norman will end up murdering his own mother. With that, there have been speculations that the upcoming season could finish with just that. This will then see Freddie Highmore's character Norman, killing his mother, played by Vera Farmiga.
The chance of this happening are likely since the most recent episodes of the series have showed Norman's growth in mental instability. In addition, the last episode saw him threatening his own mother since he is still convinced that she is the one responsible for the murders he has actually committed.
According to IGN, Nester Carbonell, who plays the role of Sheriff Romero, explained some changes in Norman's personality. He said, "We'll see whether it becomes more calculating or not, whether he's now fully aware of what he's capable of or what he has done and whether or not he starts to manipulate. He's incredibly bright, whether he uses his smarts to get around things. That'll be the fun part for all us viewers."
In addition, fans could see the change in the relationship of the mother and son. Farmiga recently spoke about how Norman and Norma's relationship is expected to change in the season to come. She explained that she will be in less control over her son. This will pave the way for a new character to play a big influence in Norma's life.
She explained, "There is a sage that shows up in her life, and it may not be in the form of a PhD, but he or she does show up and is very influential in her life, and that is a gorgeous relationship to watch unfold."
"Bates Motel" Season 4 airs on A&E every Monday nights.
