'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' Spoilers: New And Improved Batcave, Alfred More Involved In Superhero's Work

The new year will bring with it a new Batman (Ben Affleck), and with the new Batman comes an upgraded Batcave and a "more hands-on" Alfred (Jeremy Irons).

"Justice League" fans have been waiting for years for the Zack Snyder-helmed "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," which will find the Dark Knight teaming up with Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg, and, possibly, The Flash, for the first time on the big screen.

Now, Entertainment Weekly has revealed new photos from the upcoming DC Entertainment superhero film and they show the Caped Crusader's high-tech headquarters and his apron-wearing butler Alfred working alongside the superhero.

In the film, Batman will allow his estate to crumble into disrepair, but will maintain the concealed lair known as the Batcave. "[Batman] represents human beings, mortal men," Affleck told EW. He added: "In a world of Flashes and Aquamen and Supermen, there needs to be that guy. It's interesting that he became the leader of the Justice League in the books — I'm not sure how that'll play out here — but his humanity is also an asset."

Along with the revamped Batcave, Batman's right-hand man seems to have received an upgrade himself. The new Alfred, portrayed by Academy Award winner Jeremy Irons, will do more than serve his master tea.

According to Irons, "Alfred is a lot more hands-on in our film than he has previously been." "He's a bit of a grease monkey, and he's very involved in the decisions Bruce makes," the actor said.

Aside from Affleck and Irons, "Batman v Superman" features a who's who of Hollywood stars, including Henry Cavill (Superman), Jesse Eisenberg (Lex Luthor), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Laurence Fishburne (Perry White), Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Jason Momoa (Aquaman), Ray Fisher (Cyborg), Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Thomas Wayne), Holly Hunter (Senator Finch), and Diane Lane (Martha Kent).

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" opens in North American theaters on March 25, 2016.
