'Batman v Superman' News, Spoilers: Ben Affleck Says Film's Title Is 'Counter-Intuitive'; Henry Cavill On 'BvS' Fan Forums

Ben Affleck, who makes his big screen debut as Batman in this month's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," says that the film's title is "counter-intuitive."

The much-anticipated superhero film, which is expected to be one of the year's biggest, hits theaters in a few days. Affleck and co-star Henry Cavill, who reprises his "Man of Steel" (2013) role as Superman in "Dawn of Justice," recently spoke to ABC's Nightline about the upcoming film.

According to the two, the title "Batman v Superman" doesn't reflect the real dynamic between the two iconic superheroes in the film.

"If you were to have a straight Batman versus Superman punch-up, we all know who'd win," Cavill told Nightline.

"It's counter-intuitive because they're both good guys, A, and B, how could Batman really fight Superman, because Superman's an alien and way stronger and invulnerable?" Affleck explained.

The "Argo" actor/director also gave some insight into his character, saying, "Batman's the most interesting superhero because he's the most human, he's the most like us."

In an interview with the United Kingdom's Mirror Online, Cavill revealed more details about Affleck's Batman, saying: "I really like this Batman. There's something brutal and unforgiving."

Cavill went on to explain what his character disliked about the Dark Knight in "Dawn of Justice." According to the actor, Superman does not agree with how Batman metes out justice and believes that it should be done in an "ethical manner." The Caped Crusader's vigilante method of fighting the bad guys just doesn't sit well with The Man of Steel.

Cavill also recently spoke about how he's been handling the lead-up to the film's release, telling TODAY that he has been lurking on comic book forums on the Internet.

"I [sneak onto message boards] all the time," the actor revealed. "I never comment because commenting is adding fire to the arguments… I enjoy watching it."

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" hits theaters Friday, March 25.
