'Batman vs Superman' News: New Clip Shows Lex Luthor Intimidating Superman
Theaters are ready for the biggest fight in the DC universe and along with the hype comes a new clip for "Batman and Superman" featuring Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor calling out an intimidated Superman.
In the clip featured in Good Morning America on Tuesday, Lex seems to be telling Henry Cavill's Superman about the dream battle. "And now you will fight him, and you will battle him...to the death. Black and blue. Fight night. The greatest gladiator match in the history of the world. God versus man. Day versus night. Son of Krypton versus Bat of Gotham," he says with a sly smile.
As if to make the atmosphere more chilling, behind Lex as he talks is thunder roaring in the dark clouds. Superman, on the other hand, looks intimidated, or worried about the upcoming battle that Lex is talking about.
When asked if his role was intimidating at all, Eisenberg said on the morning show that it was in a way intimidating but it was also "an honor" as his role challenges him as an actor. He also shared how much fun he had playing an evil role. For him, it was an awesome ride since he was able to do things he would be arrested for in real life.
In previous trailers, Lex seems to be the person igniting the battle between Superman and Ben Affleck's Batman. Though not so many details have been provided about Lex's exact role in the fight, it has been speculated that he will raise the "bigger threat" mentioned in the movie's synopsis provided by Warner Bros.
Meanwhile, new high resolution images have been released for fans to have a closer view of Zack Snyder's upcoming film. In one of the photos, Lex stands what appears to be the ground floor of Lex Corp. Another image Batman and Superman face to face, with the former appearing to be speaking out his mind to a serious Superman.
"Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice" hits big screens on March 25, 2016.
