Beautiful Short Film About a Mother's Love Will Leave You in Tears (VIDEO)
The short film "From 1994" reminds us that while our earthly existence is impermanent, love can last pass from one life to another, even after one is gone. From Seattle creative duo Mindcastle, here's a description of the beautiful film:
"Based on a true story, From 1994 tells the story of a mother's love for her child. While playing in his room, 10-year-old Casey (Leo Schuehle) discovers a time capsule containing a letter from his mother (Nicole Alouf). In reading this letter, he gains insight and a new-found understanding of what her hopes and dreams are for him in the future. The film leaves viewers to ask themselves what might we say to a loved one if we only had one chance to say it all?"
"From 1994" closely parallels a story from the life of director Casey Warren. He says on the Mindcastle website:
"This film is a very personal project to me as I made this film in memory of my mom. She was a writer and throughout my childhood she wrote many letters to me on her typewriter in her writing room. When I was 12 she passed away from cancer. During a family Christmas years later, my aunt passed along to me the last letter that my mom had written to me on April 19th 1994. This film is based on that letter."
The short film is immersive and ends before you know it or want it to. And then you click 'play' to see it again.
