'Better Call Saul' Season 2 Spoilers, News: Clip Sees Jimmy Finally Getting Some Cucumber Water
Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk) is showing some shades of Saul Goodman in the new teaser for the second season of AMC's "Better Call Saul."
The minute-long clip showed a scene from the Season 2 premiere episode, titled "Switch," and comes courtesy of Entertainment Weekly. In it, Jimmy is seen getting out of his car and entering the nail salon from which he operates his practice. He works his charm on the ladies in the salon as he picks up - and discards - his mail before stopping to get a drink of cucumber water, something he has attempted multiple times in Season 1. But when Mrs. Nguyen (Eileen Fogarty) reprimands him, saying "Cucumber water for customer only," as she usually does, Jimmy will not be denied. He smirks, throws his tie over his shoulder, and proceeds to drink straight from the tap.
Though the clip doesn't reveal much about the Season 2 plot, it does give a glimpse into Jimmy's steady transformation into his "Saul Goodman" persona.
Meanwhile, Patrick Fabian, who plays Jimmy's nemesis Howard Hamlin in the "Breaking Bad" prequel, revealed an important detail about his character in Season 2, telling EW, "Howard Hamlin will still be the best-dressed man on the show."
The actor also joked about the Season 1 scene where he and Odenkirk wore similar suits, saying, "I kept thinking, 'Do I look that silly?' Bob kept assuring me, yes I did."
Apart from teasing his character's style game in Season 2, Fabian also talked about what fans can expect from the second run of "Better Call Saul." "I think last year was a real set up for a lot of stuff," the actor revealed. "For fans who were anxious for a little more to get going, season 2 starts to deliver on that promise, so I don't think anybody is going to be disappointed."
The second season of "Better Call Saul" debuts on Monday, Feb. 15, at 10 p.m. on AMC.
