Bible Verses That Show God Loves Us

There are times when it seems that God is far from us. In such moments, we feel alone and helpless against life's trials and challenges. We may have committed something terrible that makes us seemingly irredeemable and hopeless. Everything is going south and we have no one to turn to.

In such trying times, the more we need to be reminded of God's endless and unconditional love. He has always been there but we allow our doubts and fear to take control of our psyche that we lose sight of the promise of blessings He has in store for us. Here are five verses that tell of His love for us.

"We love because He first loved us." (1 John 4:19)

God said in Jeremiah 1:5 that He already knew us long before we were conceived in our mother's womb. We don't even know anything during that phase. Only God, the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, can give such kind of love.

"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." (Psalm 147:3)

God is not only known to heal physical maladies but also emotional wounds. A wound is bound to heal. In the same way, God can heal our emotional pain if only we ask for it.

"Help me, LORD my God; save me according to Your unfailing love." (Psalm 109:26)

There are times when we remember God when we are in deep trouble. We say the best wholehearted prayer in times of crisis. God listens to the pleas of a broken person who realizes that no one else could help. We should take advantage of such situations to renew our relationship with Him and strive not to relegate him to the back burner of our lives.

"For the Lord disciplines the one He loves, and chastises every son whom He receives. (Hebrews 12:6)

We have faced problems borne by our own undoing at some point in our lives. We had it coming. As a Christian, we knew it was wrong but we did it anyway out of selfishness, and look where it brought us. The best way to deal with such a situation is to beg for God's forgiveness, repent and pray for wisdom for you to overcome the problem.

"God is our refuge and strength. A very present help in trouble." (Psalm 46:1)

Remember the time when we haven't surrendered our lives to Christ? It was tough confronting problems then. Some of us turned to friends, others to vices like alcohol and drugs that only brought more destruction. More people are out there in the situation we were once in. It's time to reach out to them so they can make this verse their own.
