'Big Brother 18' Spoilers and Updates: Michelle Meyer Good as Evicted; Two Showmances in Trouble?
As the finals are fast approaching for the "Big Brother 18" house, there's simply no denying that it will all come down to three power couples: James Huling and Natalie Negrotti; Nicole Franzel and Corey Brooks; and Victor Arroyo and Paul Abrahamian.
Michelle Meyer, who's been really just coasting along the weeks ever since she entered the house, is as good as gone. And with the NicoRey alliance dancing right in the middle of the JaTalie and VicPaul duos, there's no way of telling who are going to make it to the Final Four.
But showmances are named so because they're so often merely that: for show. And looks like two of them are on the rocks.
The JaTalie dilemma
James, for one, is starting to doubt Natalie's sincerity for him. And it's not exactly the first time Natalie's feelings have been put into question. It's been discussed multiple times and even Paulie Calafiore stated that Natalie has told him again and again that she's not interested in dating James out of the house. Why the suspicion only begins to settle in James only now eludes us, but at least he's now beginning to ask the same questions everyone's been asking since they jumped on that ship. Is Natalie leveraging James' feelings as strategy?
He talked with Michelle about how hot and cold Natalie has been with him. He said their relationship has peaked weeks ago, but it only seemed to go downhill for him since. He's aware he's not exactly Natalie's first showmance (in fact, Victor was the guy that came before), and began to realize how mostly one-sided their relationship had been throughout the season. Michelle consoled him, reminding him that he wasn't nearly as successful with Natalie as he was with Meg in the previous season, and that they looked good together.
Poor James allowed himself to be comforted for the moment, but he did say he would have been happier in the house had Natalie not come around. He said he would have enjoyed hanging out with the guys more instead of hovering around her like a lost puppy.
NicoRey to end?
Meanwhile, Corey opened upto Victor about what he thinks about his relationship with Nicole. Victor asked if the two have been fighting recently, to which Corey answered "Nothing serious." But then the question opened a floodgate of subtle signals that Corey is planning to end the relationship soon. Short of friendzoning her, he said he'll encourage her "to visit" him outside the house and said they'll be "friends forever."
Corey became even more explicit and said he's not coming out of the house in a relationship. He recalled how Nicole and Hayden went from showmance to serious relationship outside the house, and how that all ended bust. He promised not to make the same mistake twice, and told Victor he wants her to do her thing.
Other updates
With two showmances in trouble and alliances shifting, Victor and Paul need to take advantage of the situation before it cools down. There's no way of telling if the two will keep that alliance, however, as the fact that they're each other's strongest rivals would eventually dawn on them.
Speaking of Victor, looks like Corey has decided to use the bribe package on him to vote out Michelle (Like we said, the girl is good as gone). It's unclear exactly why they needed to bribe Victor, however, since the other sitting duck is Paul, and he's unlikely to vote out his ally nonetheless.
Meanwhile, James and Natalie remain convinced that Michelle is safe for the week. Does it mean Nicorey decided to stick the VicPaul alliance over JaTalie?
