Bill Gates Talks Best Decision He Has Ever Made

Being the world's richest man with an estimate of over $75 billion in his name, Bill Gates has made a lot of good decisions that brought him where he is but behind all the glory is the best decision he has ever made: marrying his wife.

William Henry "Bill" Gates has been married to his wife, Melinda, since 1994 and according to the tech giant, it is the best decision he ever made in his entire life. In a recent Reddit AMA session, Gates was asked if marrying his wife was one of the top decisions in he made in his life. He answered, "You are correct! I would put it at the top. Deciding to work on software was a good decision but that just crept up on me rather than being some choice."

Among the biggest accomplishments that Gates ever had to his name was co-founding Microsoft, the world's largest and software company. He has held various positions in the company and was even the chairman, CEO, and chief software architect. Despite his many accomplishments and awards, Gates looks back and sees his marriage as the best thing he has in his wealthy and famous life.

Gates is one lucky man as his wife stands with him through everything in life, especially with the foundation they both are busy working on. Just recently, the Fortune Magazine re-published Melinda's first ever public profile interview which was done in 2008. According to the outlet, the wife of the world's richest man spends up to 30 hours per week on foundation work.

Friends of the couple also told the magazine that Melinda has helped Bill in many ways such as being more patient and compassionate in the world of fame and wealth that could easily eat up one's good qualities.

The couple have accomplished so many things together such as the building of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, which has helped many entities and individuals. Chalkbeat notes that the foundation has given $90 million to Memphis' education system in order to help overhaul the system's teaching for the betterment of student achievement.
