Black Friday Sale News: Holiday Shopping Season Starts Early As Some Retailers Offer Deals Even Before Black Friday
This year, holiday shopping is no longer limited to one day in November, which is usually on Black Friday. In the past, people in the U.K. and the U.S. eagerly wait for Black Friday to arrive so that they can avail of the huge discounts and deals that big stores can offer. Now, with more and more people shopping online, it seems that the holiday shopping season has already started. According to a report in Forbes, consumers nowadays are keen on doing their holiday shopping early, that way they can get better deals and a wider array of products they can choose from because they are not just limited to what is on sale that day.
Online retailers such as Amazon are conscious of this trend already. This year, Amazon started their Black Friday Deals countdown early, on November 2, in a big effort to get ahead of their competitors in the online shopping arena. For those who are Amazon Prime members, the company even has a better offer – Prime members need not "wait until the day after Thanksgiving for Black Friday deals, so we kicked off the savings a little early," according to the website. Aside from this, they are also doing the countdown to the day by offering daily deals as part of their "fantastic early Black Friday sales."
The report also noted that other stores such as Target and Walmart also launched their holiday sales campaign last November 1.

In another report in the Telegraph, there are also stores and shops in the U.K. that have opted to start their customers shopping earlier than Black Friday. John Lewis, another store in the U.K., already has a Black Friday page on its website, and once again offered what it calls the Never Knowingly Undersold pledge which means they can always match the prices offered by their competitors. Argos, a British catalogue retailer, on the other hand, is asking shoppers to subscribe to their email list so that they can get quick information about their holiday deals.
Black Friday 2015 will be on November 27, the day after Thanksgiving.
