The promo opens with an angry Trudy (Mimi Rogers) throwing buckets of paint at a police car. It turns out she was being evicted from her home, but she does not want to leave. "She is being evicted because the archdiocese sold the building out from under her," Frank explains while having a meal with his family.

Frank heads to Trudy's apartment and tells her to just take the money and leave. Back in his office, Frank attempts to arrange a deal with the archdiocese, who appears to be unwilling to cooperate.

Last season saw the demise of a main character on the show: Linda (Amy Carlson). Many fans were disappointed over how the character was abruptly killed off in the show without giving her a proper closure.

Speaking with Us Weekly, Carlson admitted that like most fans, it is still tough for her to deal with Linda's death. "It was a wonderful seven years and I had a wonderful time there and I'm really grateful to CBS and it was an amazing opportunity," said the actress.

She added, "I loved playing Donnie [Wahlberg]'s wife. They were like a second family to me."

Carlson's character Linda was a nurse, who died last season in a helicopter crash. Her first appearance was on the show's premiere in 2010.

The eighth season of "Blue Bloods" airs every Friday night at 10 p.m. EST on CBS.
