'Bones' Season 11 Episode 11 Spoilers: When Will the Series Return Next Year?
The midseason finale of "Bones" season 11 ended with a major catastrophe, and fans wonder what will happen next to the victims, James Aubrey (John Boyd) and Jack Hodgins (T. J. Thyne). The midseason finale was just days ago, but viewers are already anxious to know when the show will come back next year.
The show's network, Fox, has not made an official announcement yet about the show's midseason premiere date, and fans are curious when exactly this will happen. TV Line was able to speak with "Bones" executive producer John Collier, and the EP told the website that the show might be back sometime in spring 2016. "This happens every year with us. And even if they give us a date, all sorts of unforeseen factors come up. No date in TV, except for the fall premieres, is a real date. My guess is it will be sometime in March or April," Collier said.
The wait might be long for fans since a lot of things happened on last Friday's episode, where Hodgins got paralyzed after the bomb went off. Many wonder if he would be able to regain control of his limbs, and when asked if Hodgins will still be able to walk, Collier just said, "It's in the cards, but it's going to be tough going."
Meanwhile, Michael Peterson, one of the other executive producers, had a chat with Entertainment Weekly and teased fans on what they can expect next year once the show is back. He said that everyone is worried about him and his mental health since he is writing a "darker" story. "It's a very twisted serial killer that we're dealing with: somebody who really is truly unhinged… It's the closest to a horror kind of episode that we've ever done. Don't watch it alone. Make sure to bring a blanket and somebody else and maybe a large baseball bat to protect yourself," the EP said.
Fans are definitely excited to see "Bones" return next year on Fox.
