DNA Test Debunked; Brandon Howard Speaks Out
Is Brandon Howard Michael Jackson's son? That's the question a DNA test sought to answer when the results were revealed this Thursday at a Beverly Hills press conference by Alki David, the founder of FilmOn.com. Despite the controversial results, though, many have criticized the test as a fake.
Brandon Howard is Michael Jackson's biological son, their DNA test confirmed with 99.9 percent probability. The samples were taken from Howard himself and the King of Pop— Beverly Hills dental surgeon Dr. Joseph Goodman purchased a sample of Jackson's DNA at an auction.
"I think we have proof," Goodman said. "I'm sure that there will be doubters and there will be haters and there will be those who create, build a controversy, but it is what it is," David added.

The test claims that Howard, a 31-year-old singer with a striking resemblance to Jackson, was born to Miki "Billy" Howard and the King of Pop. Billy Howard knew Jackson in the 1980s and was rumored to be the person he sang about in "Billie Jean." The famous line "the kid is not my son" could refer to Brandon Howard.
Earlier reports claimed that Brandon Howard, who goes by B. Howard, would sue the Jackson estate if DNA tests proved him to be MJ's son. Michael Jackson's estate is estimated to be worth $17 million in cash and $600 million in revenue, The New York Daily News reported.
However, the DNA test was quickly debunked by TMZ, who said the "testing facility in Ireland called 'DNA Lab'" could not be located. They also said that the document used for the DNA result was most likely created on a computer.
"A simple Google image search of 'DNA results' turns up a bunch of sample docs with the same exact easily-stealable format as the one we got. … we then Google image searched 'DNA logo' and the first result, literally, was the same DNA pic used in the 'DNA Lab' logo. … A little more digging revealed the logo was used on promotion T-shirts for the (Terminator Salvation) movie," the celebrity entertainment site said.
In addition Augie Johnson, another 1980s singer who already has two other children with Miki Howard, claimed to be Brandon Johnson's father.
In light of the controversy, Brandon Howard put out a statement distancing himself from David and Goodman's press conference and claims.
"I did not call TMZ, I didn't put out a story, nothing," he said in a video posted to Facebook. "Two, I never proclaimed to be his son. Three, I am definitely not suing the estate … I have been taken care of very well and also I make my own cash. Four, it's true I had a DNA test, but this had nothing to do with any of this."
Howard's story matches up with Howard Weitzman, the lawyer for the Jackson estate, who said the NY Daily News he "never even heard from [Howard]" about the matter.
Howard has no birth certificate.
