Britney Marshall Implants Urged by Mom, Sisters, But Teen Says 'No Thanks'

Britney Marshall is quite content with her looks, thank you very much. The 14-year-old has been encouraged to get breast implants by her mother and sisters, who all have implants, but refuses to do so.

"I'm too young to be thinking about having a boob job," Marshall told the Daily Mail. "I just want to work hard at school. I believe a girl should do what she wants and at the moment, I don't want to get a boob job. I've talked to my mum and sisters about it a lot, and they really love their new boobs and the attention they get from them," she explained.

"In the past, I thought I wanted fake boobs, but then sometimes I look at them and think they look ridiculous. I have a thick skin and make up my own mind. I know mum thinks I will change my mind, but right now it's not important," Marshall said.

Her mother, Chantal, was the first to receive implants that brought her to a size 32G, and her four daughters, Emma, Terri, Tara, and Ripley have all had their own surgeries. Chantal insists that Britney is just "going through a funny phase at the moment."

"I know my daughters, and I know Britney is no different from the rest. She idolizes her older sisters, so we've already started talking about her getting a boob job as soon as she turns 18. At the moment she doesn't really have what I would say are boobs, so I would like her to follow in her sisters' footsteps when she is old enough," Chantal explained.

The mother of nine "really loves the fake look" of her other daughters and loves "the idea of us all looking similar and glamorous. I really love the fake look of my girls, and I know that Britney will go that way when she's a bit older."

Many physicians caution against young girls getting implants, noting the "relative permanence of the changes," according to Dr. David Sarwer, a psychologist at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine's Center for Human Appearance.

"Teenage girls have the worst body image," Dr. Diana Zuckerman told Women's eNews.com

Britney at least has part of the family on her side; all of her brothers feel that Britney "should be different. Some of my sons think we're crazy," Chantal admitted. "Britney is the clever one of the bunch, and I'm extremely proud of her. If Britney wanted to do it when she got older, I would be happy with that."
