Carrie Fisher Once Sent a Cow's Tongue to a Producer Who Assaulted Her Friend
Even after her death, the original Princess Leia, Carrie Fisher, continues to inspire the people.
Heather Ross, an Emmy-award winning producer, director and longtime friend of the late Carrie Fisher, had recently shared the story of a time when the actress stood up for her after she experienced sexual harassment. Ross made a guest appearance on an Arizona radio station 94.9 MixFM, and there, they talked about sexual harassment, which seemed to be rampant in Hollywood no matter the generation. It is also there that she revealed that Carrie Fisher once stood up for her after she was sexually assaulted by a so-far unnamed Oscar-winning producer.
According to Ross, she was supposed to go out to dinner with the producer. However, things definitely took a turn when after picking her up, the producer pulled the car over and that was when he tried to climb on top of Ross and pin her to her seat. As expected, this didn't end well for the producer who, after being pushed by Ross, threatened her career.
"You'll never make a movie in my town and get the F out of my car," the producer said as per Ross' account.
Afterwards, Ross would confide to the "Star Wars" actress about what had transpired, but little did she know that the latter had something in mind for the producer who assaulted her friend. Ross says that about two weeks since that unfortunate event, Fisher would message her online and reveal that she saw the producer at Sony Studios and had sent him a gift.
"'I just saw [blank] at Sony Studios,'" Ross quoted Fisher as saying, adding, "'I knew he would probably be there, so I went to his office and personally delivered a Tiffany box wrapped with a white bow.'"
After inquiring as to what the box had contained, Fisher revealed that she sent the producer a box of cow tongue which she had bought from Jerry's Famous Deli. Along with it came a note saying, "If you ever touch my darling Heather or any other woman again, the next delivery will be something of yours in a much smaller box!"
Carrie Fisher had just recently passed away at the age of 60, and while she may have portrayed a warrior princess fighting against evil on the "Star Wars" franchise, fans would be glad to know that the actress wasn't that far off in real life.
