'Catch Me If You Can' Caught: Motorcycle Speeder Arrested by Texas Police (VIDEO)

The "catch me if you can" motorcyclist was caught Monday by chance when police were investigating a stolen motorcycle. Alberto Rodriguez, 27, taunted the San Antonio Police Department by racing dangerously down the highway and uploading a video of it to Facebook.

Rodriguez's video caption read "catch me if you can," and he was caught Monday while running out of the back of a northeast San Antonio house. Police were in the area investigating a tip on a stolen motorcycle, and when Rodriguez attempted to escape, he was apprehended.

"The stolen motorcycle was recovered as well," the police said in a statement, posting a picture of the red and black bike. "Rodriguez faces his currently outstanding felony warrants, a misdemeanor assault warrant, [and] possibly charges in connection with the stolen motorcycle."

During the motorcycle video, Rodriguez sped between cars and trucks, weaving in between slow-moving traffic, sometimes hitting speeds of over 100 mph on Texas Interstate 35. The speedster captured all the death-defying stunts on a Go-Pro camera mounted to his helmet.

The stunt was posted to the local police department's Facebook page, then shared over 10,000 times over social media channels.

"Really all it would have taken was a split second for him to impact the lives of several people, possibly killing someone just by his very actions," San Antonio Police Sgt. Javier Salazar told CNN. William McManus, the police chief, agreed, telling Fox News it was "one of the most insanely dangerous things that I have ever seen."

Police announced that they believed the man in the video was Rodriguez in February and began tracking him down. Although Salazar called catching the speed demon "a coincidence," as they didn't realize where the man was before he burst out of the back door.

"He brought this on himself," McManus said. "He brought attention to himself."
