'Celebrity Apprentice' News, Elimination Recap: Episode 7, Down to Final 2
Last week on "Celebrity Apprentice," Donald Trump fired four celebrities, leaving the final three — Vivica A. Fox, Geraldo Rivera, and Leeza Gibbons to compete for their charities. On Monday, Trump decides to fire another celebrity even before the final task.
The episode starts with the final three celebrating, when the phone rings and they are told that Trump wants them back in the boardroom. Trump asks why Vivica should stay, and she tells him that she wants to keep on learning from him and that she wants to be the apprentice. However, Geraldo says that Trump should fire Vivica so that he and Leeza could compete in the finals, and Leeza agrees with this.
Trump asks Vivica if she thinks she's a better player than Leeza. Vivica says that she has always tried to be honest with him and says that Leeza is the better player. That seals Trump's decision and he fires Vivica.
That leaves Leeza and Geraldo to compete for a new task. For their final task, they are asked to produce a 90-second commercial, present it at a red carpet event, and sell vacation packages for Universal Orlando Resort. Past players show up to help the final two. Leeza's team has Brandi Glanville, Johnny Damon and Kevin Jonas, while Geraldo's team is made up of Lorenzo Lamas, Vivica A. Fox and Ian Ziering.
At Geraldo's camp, Geraldo tries to break the tension and shakes hands with Ian and Lorenzo. For their theme, they come up with "Discovering Your Inner Hero." Geraldo says that he can get Josh Groban to appear at the presentation. To raise money, Ian starts selling the tour packages, and Lorenzo was tasked to direct the commercial. But things start going south when the child actors they hired failed to show up, and Geraldo starts changing things in the commercial and takes over, leaving Lorenzo to sit in the sidelines.
Meanwhile, at Leeza's team, they come up with "The Magic of Memories" for their theme. Kevin suggests doing a commercial about a father who obsesses over every little detail about a trip, only to get lost and finds out that he has the time of his life at the resort. Leeza says that she can get Olivia Newton John to sing at the presentation. Instead of helping, Brandi and Johnny loaf around at the resort, which worries Leeza because she thinks that she won't be able to raise enough money for the task.
"Celebrity Apprentice" airs on Mondays at 8 p.m. on NBC.
