Cheryl Reeve Meltdown: WNBA Coach Throws Jacket in Fury (VIDEO)
WNBA coach Cheryl Reeve was handed a technical foul by refs after furiously throwing her coat on the floor during a disagreement on a call.
During the second game of the WNBA finals, the Minnesota Lynx took on the Indiana Fever. With Minnesota behind, the game became intense after Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve lost her temper on court.
Minnesota starter Lindsay Whalen drove the lane and went up for a shot, but had the ball knocked out of her hands by a defender. The ref called a foul on Whalen, getting a voracious vocal opinion from Reeve. In response, the ref also hit Reeve with a technical foul.

Reeve's reaction seemed immediate. Plunging forward toward the ref, she was held back by her assistant coach. But that was not enough to stop Reeve, who then proceeded by ripping of her jacket and throwing it on the floor in order to free herself. The assistant coach attempted to push her back again, and Reeve considered fighting back before a team player stepped in and put a hand around Reeve's waist, seemingly calming her down.
But her heated reaction may just have been worth the technical foul. The Lynx tied up the game after Reeve's meltdown, and finished with a 83-71 win to even up the series. Coach Lin Dunn was also called for a technical foul during the game, although his reaction did not appear YouTube worthy.
"We've got a lot of league people here. It's the WNBA Finals. So we have to be really, really careful in the things that we say. Clearly, I wasn't happy in that moment. I'm not happy about how the game was officiated, period, but that's all I'm going to say about it," Reeve said after the game according to CBS News.
