Chevrolet Camaro 2016 Specs Are Beyond The Ordinary

The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro has been declared as the Car of the Year by Motor Trend, proving that it has soared above its biggest competitors.

After being evaluated in terms of design, efficiency, performance, engineering excellence, safety, and value, the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro was proven to be above the Audi TT, Mazda MX-5 Miata, Toyota Mirai, BMW 7 Series, and Mercedes AMG GT S. When all else is striving to follow what the crowd wants, the sixth-generation Camaro refuses to be anything but average, according to Left Lane News.

The latest Camaro comes with a new turbocharged 275-horsepower four-cylinder engine. It also has two larger engine options — a fuel-efficient 335-horsepower 3.6-liter V6 engine and a 455-horsepower V8 engine SS — that can be set to stealth when driving along a populated area. The car can go from zero to 60 mph in just 4 seconds, the Latin Post reports.

The three engine options can be connected to a six-speed manual transmission or an eight-speed automatic transmission, the report adds.

Looking at the Camaro from the outside, it resembles its predecessor, but Car and Driver says it is noticeably leaner and sportier. The car is available in black, blue velvet, nightfall gray, summit white, and bright yellow color options, the report details.

As for the interior, the 2016 Camaro boasts of six speakers, a USB port, a satellite radio with stereo, and support for 4G LTE WiFi and Apple Car Play. It also has climate control, sun sensor, leather steering wheel, and dual vanity mirrors. The interior design is available in jet black and medium ash gray options, the report relays.

The 2016 Camaro offers better audio and cruise control, plus an electric power steering and rear view camera. Drivers can also use the Hands-Free Calling, Concierge Service, Destination Guidance, and other navigation assistance features when subscribed to OnStar. It is also equipped with safety features including front and rear head airbags, anti-theft alarm system, tire pressure monitoring, emergency braking assist, stolen vehicle tracking system, and more.

It is worth noting, however, that the sixth-generation Camaro has poorer visibility compared with the previous model. In addition, the car still lacks space and the rear seats can hardly accommodate normal-sized adults, but the front seats are comfortable enough.

Those who are interested to buy the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro 275-hp turbo need to pony up $27,000. The 335-hp variant costs $28,500 and the 455-hp comes with a price tag of $37,500.
