'Chicago Fire' Season 6 News, Spoilers: Series Creator Teases Fans on Social Media; Kelly Severide Survives
Series creator Derek Haas teases the fans of "Chicago Fire" on social media by sharing a teaser for the upcoming installment which was actually a prank. Meanwhile, season 6 will see Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) survive the horrific building fire from last season.
With just a few weeks before "Chicago Fire" returns with season 6, Haas decided to poke fun at the fans of the drama series by sharing teaser on Instagram that was actually just a prank.
The photo, where a little girl can be seen putting out a fake fire on a dummy building with a fireman's hose, came with the caption, "Exclusive footage of Dawson (Monica Raymund) in the teaser!"
On the comment sections, fans were disappointed because it wasn't a real teaser for "Chicago Fire" season 6. However, some fans were also in awe of the cute little girl and forgot all about the upcoming new season.
Meanwhile, Haas confirmed in an interview with Hollywood Life that Severide will survive the building fire from the season 5 finale.
"I think it's fair to say he's going to make it out of there," Haas revealed.
Although Haas didn't divulge who else is going to survive, he promises that fans will find out as soon as season 6 premieres, since it picks up right after the events that took place in the finale last season.
"Within the first five minutes. It's going to pick up literally from where Gabby was looking at that front doorway that was all a flame. The teaser is going to extend that scene, and you're going to see the desperation of Boden (Eamonn Walker) and Cruz (Joe Minoso)," Haas explained.
After the events from the building fire plays out, Haas added that season 6 will have a time jump to a few months after the whole incident.
"Chicago Fire" season 6 is slated to premiere on Thursday, Sept. 28, at 10 p.m. EDT on NBC.
