Chris Martin Denies Gwyneth Paltrow Reconciliation Rumors: 'We Are Not Together'
Chris Martin recently denied reports claiming he is reconciling with Gwyneth Paltrow.
The Coldplay frontman, 37, recently opened up about reconciliation rumors during a radio interview. Last month reports claimed the singer and Paltrow, 41, who announced their separation in March. were working on their marriage however this is not true.
"The truth is ... well, I don't really love talking about this stuff. But the thing we told everyone at the beginning of the year is true," Martin said on "Valentine in the Morning."
"We are very close. We are not together. But we're, you know, that's the truth and that's it. There's a lot of love. No scandal, I'm afraid. I wish I could give you scandal," he explained.
In recent months, the estranged couple has been photographed spending time together on various outings, which sparked reconciliation reports.
Both Martin and the Hollywood actress vowed to remain on good terms for the sake of their two children which is why they have maintained a friendship.
Paltrow and Martin, who hails from England, previously explained their decision to part ways in a joint statement posted on the actress' Goop lifestyle blog.
"We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate," their statement read.
"We have always conducted our relationship privately, and we hope that as we consciously uncouple and co-parent, we will be able to continue in the same manner," they wrote.
The estranged couple wed in 2003 one year after meeting at a Coldplay concert and while they appeared to be happily married throughout their 10 years together, they were dealing with marital woes behind closed doors.
On Monday, both Paltrow and Martin were seen attending the "Hector and the Search for Happiness" screening in The Hamptons.
