Christian artists perform free concerts from their homes during quarantine
The Afters
Lastly, Dove Award-winning band The Afters are taking things a bit further and offering their followers a free download of their single “I Will Fear No More.”
The band wants people to hold on to God, especially the many people who are struggling with unemployment, self-isolation, and COVID-19 due to the constant news-cycle of uncertainty and panic. Their single, “I Will Fear No More,” serves an invitation to proclaim victory against the attacks of any fear, worry, or anxiety that they might be grappling with.
The Afters revealed in the past that each member of the group has individually struggled with anxiety, and the song was birth from the genuine place in each of them and their own struggles. They now “pray” that the message of “I Will Fear No More” will provide assurance of “God’s peace that passes understanding,” and can be sung as an anthem against anxiety.
“One thing I know for certain is that God is on the throne, that God is in control, that He’s fought the battles of fear and anxiety that are crippling you at this very moment,” Dan Ostebo, the band's bassist, said in a statement shared with The Christian Post.
