Christian Movies Coming in 2017
It's another year of great Christian films in 2017 which bodes well for evangelization efforts considering the setbacks experienced by Christianity these days caused primarily by persecution. It's heartening to know that talented filmmakers are taking back the artistic tool of moviemaking from the enemy and using it to win souls.
Here are five Christian movies to look forward to this year:
"The Case for Christ"

This movie is about award-winning journalist Lee Strobel (Mike Vogel) who uses his writing and research skills to disprove his wife Leslie's (Erika Christensen) newfound faith. It will be shown in cinemas on April 7.
"Guided by the Word"
The film tells the story of an old man named Steven (John Lina) who sets off on a journey from Kentucky to California to fulfill the dying wish of his wife Abigail (Teresa Wentzel) to find their estranged daughter of 25 years so both of them can forgive each other. Along the way, Steven meets a hitchhiker who may have answers to questions regarding his family's dilemma. Set for release on May 2 on DVD and VOD.
"Salted Christmas"
A comedy that takes place one Saturday before Christmas about a family's desire to replicate Jesus' example in the various ministries that they serve namely foster care, adoption, homeless and nursing home outreaches. Catch it in theaters on Nov. 15.
"Wild Faith"
Set in 1870s Michigan, the racially-charged film tells of the struggle of a Civil War veteran to keep his interracial family intact amid the persecution of his neighbors. No release date has been set yet.
"Orphaned Courage"
A short film about an orphan who was raised by an MMA fighter and discovers that his long-lost brother is not only alive but leads a ruthless street gang. What's good about the film is that its proceeds will go to Abba Fund's Christian Family Adoption Grant program.
