'Conan Exiles' News: Game's Release Date Pushed to 3rd Quarter of 2018

It has been announced that the release of "Conan Exiles" game will be slightly delayed.

The announcement was made on the game's official social media accounts, explaining that the delay is due to the polishing touches to the game that will ensure its quality. Hence, instead of arriving in March 2018 as originally announced, "Conan Exiles" will now hit the store shelves in the early part of the third quarter of next year.

"Making sure that Conan Exiles is of a high technical and gameplay quality is our number one priority right now. As such, we have decided to take a little more time than we had originally planned, to make sure we get as much polish in as we can before it moves out of Early Access," Funcom said on its Twitter and Facebook posts.

While the delay in the release date of the game has disappointed others, some take the news positively as it means that Funcom only wants to avert the various issues "Conan Exiles" experienced during its Xbox One Game and PC Preview launch.

To recall, "Conan Exiles" launched with bugs two months ago, with one bug, in particular, causing some serious problems, such as crashing. Thankfully, Funcom was made aware of the issues and was quick to deliver a new patch for certification.

With Funcom announcing that the release of "Conan Exiles" will be delayed, it is believed that it is ensuring that the game will be stable and bug-free once it arrives. While the game's test server is currently testing some new features, including new building pieces, placeable items, a new Artisan Workbench, and repair kits, the patch notes have also delivered more than 40 fixes and improvements.

According to reports, other than the team working on the stability and bug fixes of the game, there are several other teams focusing on other aspects of the game, including the new combat system that introduces combo attacks for different weapons along with stacks and buffs, and a new dungeon inside the Volcano located in the Frozen North expansion.
