'Criminal Minds' Season 11 Episode 14 Spoilers: BAU Hunts Down UnSub Who Illegally Detained Women For Years

CBS' hit police procedural drama TV series "Criminal Minds" Season 11 finally returns to the airwaves, after a two-week long break, with a brand new, action-packed episode that will feature a weird case of abduction.

According to the synopsis shared over at The Futon Critic for the episode aptly titled "Hostage," the criminal profiling branch of the FBI will get wind of a report about an 18-year-old girl who managed to escape from her captor in a suburban area where she is said to have been held captive for many years. Apparently, the girl is not the only victim of the kidnapper. The Behavioral Analysis Unit will find out that there are still two other women left. This will prompt the BAU crew to set forth and locate the UnSub's hideout and rescue the other victims before they face the tragic consequences of their companion's escape.

More details about the chilling episode were revealed by the teaser video. It appears that the women were imprisoned ever since they were little girls. The hideous crime was kept a secret for over a decade.

This episode in Criminal Minds may have been inspired by a real-life incident. In this particular case, it has many similarities to the Ariel Castro kidnapping case, whose house was also infamously known as the "Cleveland house of horrors."

According to Daily News, starting in 2002, Castro had abducted three women named Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus, and Michelle Knight. He kept them detained for more than a decade. They were eventually rescued in May 2013 after Berry was able to escape with her six-year-old daughter and got help from the police.

One of the girls, Knight, stepped up to share her horrific experiences under the hands of the criminal. She recalled how Castro repeatedly abused them in many ways. The man in question hanged himself after he was convicted and sent to prison.

Find out how the terrifying events on the show unfold when "Criminal Minds" Season 11 Episode 14 "Hostage" premieres Wednesday, Feb. 10 at 9 p.m. on CBS.
